Inner city office ticks the boxes for training & development

A quality commercial office space in Brisbane’s CBD has transacted to a national training and development provider for $1.3 million.

Gregory Woods of Savills negotiated the sale on the property located at level 2/21 Mary Street off the back of a formal advertising campaign.

Mr Woods said the campaign attracted over 47 interested parties with the property sold to a subsidiary of a private workplace training organisation, Professional Development Training (PDT).

PDT is a national leader in the delivery of corporate and professional development training.

Specialising in Microsoft, business skills training and certified programs, PDT also offer custom business partnering programs to assist with staff development and review.

The high level of interest was due to the property’s convenient location being in proximity to the Queen’s Wharf Casino precinct currently under development and also the George Street Government Precinct,” Mr Woods said.

PDT snapped up the full floor space at a rate of $3,421 per square metre after being in the market for office accommodation for the last 12 months.

Global Operations Director of PDT, Karen Winfield said the company previously leased accommodation on Newmarket Road in Windsor and jumped at the Mary Street opportunity when it arose.

“The property’s prime CBD centre location made it a convenient choice for our clients.

“We were also attracted to the current facilities, the re-fit and the current market conditions made Mary Street an opportunity that we wanted to capitalise on,” she said.

With the Queen’s Wharf Casino precinct starting to take shape, PDT look forward to reaping the rewards of this new emerging CBD business district.

“We had looked at many offices over our 12 month search and we are very happy that we were able to secure this property with Gregory’s help,” she said.
